"We used the breathing exercises with the younger children (4-7 year olds) as they returned from recess. It was a great activity to bring calm to their bodies after high energy activities. After some giggles and getting their wiggles out, the exercises were very effective and they really liked them."

"As soon as I received the posters contained within this resource, I displayed them in my classroom and my office. I refer to them before starting class, when we need to refocus, or at the end of class. They have also been a great addition in my office because some students are more comfortable doing mindfulness or yoga when others are not watching. I’ve had great feedback from students, teachers, and parents!
Students have been able to recognize that when they practice mindfulness, they do indeed feel better and are more likely to engage in it more. Teachers and parents have noticed the positive impact it’s made on our students’ overall social-emotional well-being."

"The breathing exercise poster is an awesome tool I like to show during the beginning of my classes. It makes it easy for students the choose which breath they would like to begin class with. I try to always remind the kids that yoga is a personal practice and they get to decide what will serve their minds and bodies best in that moment. This poster is a great tool for that. I also bring it back out during Savasana and give them the option to either do the same breath they started class with or choose another one to end their class with. The poster and its illustrations seem to help the kids become familiar with the different breathing techniques."
