Give your independent-loving tweens the tools to develop healthy habits and positive life choices now and for years to come!

Tweens are in that tricky place between being little kids and teenagers. Their bodies are growing, and their emotions are soaring. They would rather spend more time with their friends than family, and these burgeoning relationships are becoming powerful circles of influence. And most importantly… they’re vying for independence!

So why not provide them the tools to help empower them to care for their minds and bodies in ways that will support them in:

  • becoming physically and emotionally stronger
  • building more resilience in the face of challenges
  • increasing focus and self-discipline that will ready them for middle school and beyond
  • learning flexibility and curiosity that extends to academics, relationships, and ways of viewing the world
  • nurturing balance in order to tackle their increasing responsibilities and changes in relationship dynamics
  • building self-esteem to make healthy choices and deflect the pressures that they may experience
  • foster self-confidence so they can achieve their goals

We created this very special pack to help you teach life skills as well as address the needs of our TWEENS!

1. Core Yoga Cards

Help improve posture and core strength by engaging abdominal muscles and fostering a strong physical and emotional foundation… so that they can feel empowered to make healthy decisions as well as be ready for increasing demands of activities and sports.

2. Balancing Yoga Cards

Teach them that balance is more than just standing on one leg. Balancing one’s body extends to their mind, helping them focus, eliminate distractions, and be present in the moment, thereby improving their relationships and academic success.

3. Yoga For Flexibility Cards

Nurture flexibility and share the benefits of learning to release tension in the body. A flexible mind helps them see things from a variety of angles and keeps them curious. A flexible demeanor helps them build resilience as they maneuver the ups and downs of school and life.

4. Hip-Opening Yoga Cards

Encourage insight of how the body and mind are intimately connected by sharing hip-opening poses—especially since tweens spend a lot of time sitting! Emotional stress, frustration, and anger gets stuck in the hips. By stretching this area, they are better able to dissipate everyday stresses and promote healthy circulation.

5. Standing Yoga Cards

Teach them that standing up and stretching regularly is a habit worth starting now to counter the ill-effects of sitting all day! Tweens in particular need to move. These poses are practical and highly beneficial ways to do so without getting on the floor. Taking a healthy break throughout the day—one that is packed with healthy, mindful movements—can help them easily return to the task at hand, feeling refreshed and focused.

6. Strengthening Yoga Cards

Promote building strength as their bodies are rapidly growing and developing. Strength training is an important skill regardless of whether or not they’re in sports. Increasing physical strength also teaches them to strengthen their resolve, strengthen what’s important to them, and boosts their self-confidence and sense of agency.

5. Standing Yoga Cards for Kids

Twenty standing yoga poses to practice anytime, anywhere!

This collection of standing poses was put together for grownups looking to share physical postures with children without having to get on the floor.
