Luke's A to Z of Australian Animals Coloring Book

Got this for my 5 yr old sister because for some reason she wanted an Australia coloring book! It's so cute because she tries the yoga poses too!

My son loves this coloring book, well he loves all things with animals and yoga. He just recently was given a yoga mat and now all he wants to do is show me poses! Luke's Australian Animals just makes his little mind go crazy with new poses and new animals he has never seen, such as a Numbat! Super cute imagery, easy to read, and time well spent with my kiddo when he pulls this one off the shelf! A real winner!

As a preschool owner/ teacher and yoga teacher I have found Giselle's books to be well loved by the children. I like the parent/teacher guide because teaching children's yoga may be intimidating to a parent or teacher without any yoga experience. I also like to introduce the children to multi cultural resources and this book gives them a connection to the familiar (yoga poses) and the different animals. I also copy the pages so every child gets a coloring page with the letter we are working on. I would also like to recommend Anna and her Rainbow-Colored Yoga Mats. The children always ask for me to read it and express such deep compassion for Anna, who is hearing impaired. This book makes an excellent gift for any little boy or as a classroom resource.

I found this to be a great resource book in the classroom. The children could relate to the animals and even invented some of their own. The colouring is a great way for the children to practice and take home to show parents. I think you have been quite inventive with your poses and even though the lizard pose isn't what a typical adult would do, it's different for children and this is what they like. When I teach the children make up all sorts of new and interesting variations and this is what it's all about. This gives them a taste at a simple level to try, and all schools should have this book to start out with. Well done. This is a fun book for kids that's packed with a lot of yoga poses! I read it with my 5 year old son and he loves it too. I'm planning to do an Australia themed yoga kids camp this summer and we will definitely use this coloring book. My only critique is (and I realize I'm being a stickler here) I would have used lizard pose / utthan pristhana for the Goanna lizard and 5 ptd. star for the seastar.
