wish this had more inclusive language ie. Lunar New Year. Children need to learn scope of the holiday throughout Asia and the World. China is but one country that celebrates Lunar New Year.
My 2 year old loves reading the book together and doing the poses. We take walks together and he stops to do a pose like Jenny.
Kids Yoga Stories material are quality, ready to use and are stocked full of great ideas! Way to go Giselle! :-)
Keep Calm & Holiday On Bundle
I am super excited about this newest purchase from Kids Yoga Stories. I love everything I have received!
A ton of ideas and materials! Thanks so much!!
These are an excellent resource. I absolutely love them! Thank you to Kids Yoga Stories😊.
I read this aloud to elementary students in my yoga class, and they enjoyed it! I did a little preview of each pose with them first, so they would know how to do them.
I am a special education teacher who works primarily with students who need academic support as well as sensory and/or emotional regulation accommodations. I have been using “Kids yoga Stories” posters that Giselle posts freely and have found that students in grades K-5 gravitate to the beautifully illustrated poses and regularly visit my room where the posters are displayed. Children eagerly practice the poses and then are ready to rejoin their classrooms. Because I have seen such success with these yoga cards and posters, I had to purchase books. I am so glad that I did! “The Grateful Giraffe” is not only a quality resource for introducing and furthering a student’s experience with the regulating effects of yoga poses, but it is truly a literary masterpiece. This story exposes children to alliteration with highly engaging text and beautiful illustrations. I am so excited about my purchase and look forward to adding more titles to my classroom.
As always, I find the materials fun and engaging! Thank you for creating and sharing!
Fall Yoga Cards for Kids
My students love these poses! The best part is seeing their balance improve week after week in tree pose . They like to show off to each other and then we name different trees that each student chooses to be during our TREES study. Thank you !
My 3 year old class is studying farms/fall/farm
animals. And we just started our daily yoga poses! What a perfect combination!!
I have brought pieces of yoga techniques into the classrooms over the last 18 yrs.
Centering: Teaching my 2 children back in the day: to bring quiet back to themselves.
Stretches, breath, and lot's of love: It works!
Thank you for your support that I as a mom and educator can pull information from and introduce concepts simply: SEL standards of Health & Wellness.
Wonderful resources! Love how they incorporate poses into the thematic story in a very kid friendly way. I especially like the extra detail for those who are not familiar with yoga and the monthly focused breathing and the vinyasa to use! Very satisfied!
